Deluge disrupts daily life in Kailali

By Avinash Chaudhari, Dhanagadhi, Aug. 21: Life at Kailari Rural Municipality-5 has been affected due to the floods in the Kataini river in the Kailali district.

Manikapur, Baijpur and Bangalipur areas of the ward have been inundated due to incessant rainfall and the life has been affected.

According to Ganesh Nath, official at communication section in district police office, informed that 10 people that included senior citizen, women and children were rescued from the inundated areas and kept at the ward office.

He said as many as 116 individuals of 19 households were staying at the second floor of their houses due to inundation.

The postal highway that goes through the areas has been disrupted due to the deluge.

 The vicinity of ward no 5 and 7 of the Kailari rural municipality are seen entirely deluged in the pictures taken from the drone cameras.
