Loader driver injured while clearing landslide debris

 By Shaligram Nepal, Chitwan, Aug.7: The loader operator got injured when he was hit by the landslide while clearing the landslide at 9:30 AM on Wednesday. 

The 46-year-old loader operator Liladhar Adhikari of Galchi Rural Municipality-6 was injured when debris fell from above while he was removing a debris landslide and stone that fell in the Nagdi River of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-4, Chitwan. 

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, he got injured by a stone that fell from above and hit him at 9:30 AM when he was at a site removing the landslide that occurred in the Nagdi River along Prithivi Highway at 7:40 AM on Wednesday. 

His left hand is injured and is currently undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur Hospital. 

According to the Police, it will take some time to remove debris from the large dry landslide. 

Currently, one excavator and one loader are mobilized for the purpose.
