Representation in parliament on basis of population: chairman Yadav

Kathmandu, July 27: Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal chair Upendra Yadav, has said that the Madhesh movement has made an important contribution to the country's entry into the republic system, implementation of inclusiveness and transformation into federalism.     

He demanded that the number of constituencies should be worked out on the basis of population, in Terai Madhes, which has 53 percent of the population, the system of representation in the federal parliament should be ensured based on that.     

Pointing out the need to look at all the civilizations from an equal point of view in the country, chairman Yadav said all civilizations should have equally promoted.     

In an interaction on 'constitution amendment' organized by the party here today, chairman Yadav said that constitutional supremacy, written constitution and independent judiciary are needed to make federalism and federal governance system a success. (RSS)
