Projects should not be abandoned after laying foundation stone: NC President Deuba

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 17: Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that any projects should not be abandoned after laying the foundation stone.

Addressing the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the new building for the central office of the Nepal Women Federation held at Dhapashi, Kathmandu, President Deuba said that any projects should not be overlooked after laying the foundation stone as many projects are left stranded because of lack of progress on the project. It is a matter of privilege to have laid the foundation in the name of late Mangladevi Singh.

He said that Mangladevi Singh was an organization in herself. There needs to be support from residents of Kathmandu to complete the project swiftly.

President Deuba said, “I have got the opportunity to inaugurate the building named after Mangladevi Singh today. This is such a pleasure for me. Mangladevi Singh is not known just as the wife of famous leader Ganesh Man Singh rather she has her standing. We completed laying the stone but I hope the building will see its completion. I say to not just lay the foundation stone if has an intent to not complete it. The foundation should be turned into a building. There should be support from all Kathmandu not just from females. Only when the building is completed then it will be a tribute to the late Mangladevi Singh in the true sense.”
