Lalit Memorial U-18Youth League starts

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 15: The Lalit Memorial ANFA U-18 Youth League 2024 kicked off in Satdobato, Lalitpur, on Sunday. New Road Team (NRT) and Khumaltar FC began their campaign with a win on the first day of the League consisting of 12 teams.

While NRT defeated Church Boys United (CBU), Khumaltar FC emerged victorious against Satdobato Youth Club. NRT made a comeback of two goals against CBU after trailing by a goal to register their first win in the tournament.

Similarly, Khumaltar maintained a two-goal lead in the first half to win their first match by the end of 90 minutes. 

The other teams participating in the League are Nepal Police Club, Jawalakhel Youth Club, Manang Marshyangdi Club, Tribhuvan Army FC, Machhindra FC, Sankata FC, APF Football Club and Three Star Club.

As per the ANFA, the League will have 48 matches between the teams with two matches played in a day. The League ends on August 9 with two matches: CBU vs APF and Three Star vs Khumaltar.

The fixtures of the League shows that there will be no matches (rest days) on July 20, July 27 and August 3.
