Traffic on Prithvi Highway resumes after seven hours

Tanahu, July 12: Traffic on the Prithvi Highway that was disrupted due to a landslide occurred at Ghansikuwa, Byas Municipality-12 has been resumed after seven hours. 

   
The landslide debris on the road was removed using three equipment of the Muglin-Pokhara Road Expansion Project and the road opened for two-way traffic, Deputy Superintendent Deepak Kumar Raya at the District Police Office said.    

"It took time to remove the debris as the landslide was huge. Now, the road is fully open for two-way traffic," he said.    
Hospital damaged due to landslip, service suspended    

Services at the Purandihi Hospital have been affected after a landslide damaged part of the hospital building. The landslide damaged the lab and the gynecology ward of the hospital building, said Aishwarya Chandra Bhattarai, Chief of the Bhanu Municipality Health Section.    

The hospital is providing only the most essential services. The hospital administration said the lab and gynecology services stand fully suspended at present. (RSS)
