RSP asks govt. to expedite rescue, relief and rehabilitation jobs

Kathmandu, July 7: The ruling Rastriya Swotantra Party (RSP) has demanded that the government take effective measures for the search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation works for those affected by flooding, landslide, inundation and other natural disasters.     

Issuing a press statement on Sunday, the RSP has drawn the attention of the responsible agencies for taking rightful steps in the disaster-affected sites.     

The RSP has termed the government's disaster preparedness and the efforts for search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation jobs praiseworthy but has cautioned the stakeholders about the possibility of lacking of government mechanisms in the affected sites.     

Saying that a huge amount of property was damaged in the flooding and landslide caused due to rain in the past couple of days, the RSP has urged all to unite in the rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts adding that people have suffered badly.(RSS)
