Lumbini Technological University will be developed as technical school: CM Mahara

Nepalgunj, July 2: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Jokh Bahadur Mahara has said that the Lumbini Technological University would be developed as a national level technical school. 

At the second anniversary of the University in Nepalgunj today, Chief Minister Mahara stated that arrangement would be made in order to impart practical knowledge to students in order to involve them in innovation and research. 

Stressing the need of partnership between educational institutions and industries of Nepal and international level, he shared, "Such partnership will further strengthen our educational initiatives and will provide an opportunity to contribute in socio-economic growth."

Similarly, Social Development Minister of Lumbini Province, Ratna Bahadur Khatri, urged the federal government to make immediate decision for acquiring land for Lumbini Technological University. He pointed out the need of making the education sector trustworthy. 

Likewise, Minister for Agriculture and Land Management Bhandari Lal Yadav, Province Assembly members Mina Shrestha and Durga Bahadur Chaudhary, as well as other speakers expressed their view for the educational development of the University. 

Vice-Chancellor of Gandaki University, Prof Dr Ganesh Man Gurung laid emphasis on the need of making the University free from political activities. 

On the occasion, the University honoured the outstanding students. (RSS)
