Leader of the CPN (Maoist Center) Devendra Paudel

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 2: The meeting of office-bearers of CPN (Maoist Center) has made a decision that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will face a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives (HoR) instead of resigning from the post.

Leader of the CPN (Maoist Center) Devendra Paudel said that the office bearers meeting held on Tuesday morning at Baluwatar decided that the PM will face a vote of confidence instead of resigning from the post.

Paudel said, “Prime Minister will not resign from his post rather will head on for the vote of confidence in the HoR. One month is there so the preparation is underway to take a vote of confidence. The agreement that happened overnight is not natural. There are questions, How did it happen and why did it happen? UML Chair KP Sharma Oli said that one thing in meeting with the PM  and made a radical decision overnight.”

Another leader of the CPN MC Agni Prasad Sapkota said that the conclusion will be drawn after meeting with the coalition party in the government.

He said, “The amendment of the constitution seems a step behind than leaping. It is seen as an improper exercise of the Constitution. There is some secret about the point of amendment of the constitution that was raised. The proportional representation in the assembly also does not look natural and original. We will not discuss this with everyone. We will discuss with the coalition party in the government after discussing various aspects of national life.”
