Mid-Hill Highway resumes after three days

By Raju Lamichhane, Rukum West, July 1: The traffic which had remained disrupted in the Rukum section of the Mid-Hill Highway due to the landslide since Saturday has resumed on Monday afternoon. 

The vehicular movement has resumed in the Kiteni, Musikot Municipality-8,  from Monday afternoon after removing the landslide debris that fell on Saturday evening disrupting the traffic in the area.

According to the Chief District officer of the Rukum (West) Hari Prasad Panta, landslide debris was removed in collaboration with the Mid-Hill Highway Office. 

The Mid-Hill Highway was resumed after three long days as the Mid-Hill Highway Office failed to provide the necessary equipment needed to resume the disrupted highway timely. The excavator to remove landslide debris was arranged only on Monday morning by the Mid-Hill Highway Office. 

Another landslip occurred on Kalekhola, Chaurjahari Municipality-8 in Rukum(West). 

According to the Office, both the landslide debris has been removed.
