Lawmakers draw attention on natural disaster situations

Kathmandu, June 30: In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, the Members of parliament have drawn the attention of the government to pay attention to the distribution of relief and rescue to those affected by natural calamities.     

During the emergency session of the assembly, MP Devendra Paudel drew the attention of the government saying that Prem BK and Basanti BK of Baglung Galkot Municipality-8 Kandebash were buried in the flood and died.     

He also mentioned that 30 people have died in the last four days due to floods in Syangja and Gulmi. He further urged to provide flood information, they should also provide relief and treatment to the injured," he said.     

Member of Parliament Chandrakant Bhandari mentioned that five members of the same family lost their lives in Malika Rural Municipality-6 of Gulmi.     

He urged for effective management to transfer the vulnerable settlement to safer zones. (RSS)
