By Dhirendra Prasad Sah, Janakpur, June 7: Satish Kumar Singh of Janamat has been appointed as the Chief Minister of the Madhesh Province. He was appointed by the Chief of the Madhesh Province, Sumitra Subedi Bhandari, on Friday.
Satish Kumar Singh stoked a claim for the post of the Chief Minister to form a government, with the support of 56 members of Parliament (MPs) from CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Nagarik Unmukti Party and some other fringe parties.
There is a need for the support of 54 MPs in the total of 107 members for the majority. Satish received support from 55 MPs of a coalition.
