Storm likely to occur in some places of provinces

Kathmandu, June 5: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology informed that there is a partial influence of local and westerly winds along with low pressure zone from Uttar Pradesh to West Bangladesh of India in the country.    

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country, including Bagmati province and light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is taking place at one or two places of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.    

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country, including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces this afternoon.    

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur in some parts of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at a few places of Madhes, Lumbini and Karnali provinces. There are chances of storm at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Karnali and Lumbini provinces. One or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country are likely to witness light snowfall.    

As informed, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly region and fair in the rest of the country tonight.    

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of Madhes, Lumbini and Karnali provinces and at one or two places of the rest of the country during the next 24 hours.    

The Department has urged the people to adopt alert measures taking into consideration the possible chances of storm in one or two places of Koshi, Madhes, Karnali and Lumbini provinces.   (RSS)
