Nepalgunj schools to remain shut till June 21 amidst soaring mercury
By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, May 31: The schools in Nepalgunj will remain closed by June 21 as the temperature rises to 44 degrees Celsius.
According to the Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitian City, the decision to close schools has been extended till June 21. Earlier, it was decided to close the schools from May 28 to June 1 as children started to get affected by the rising temperature.
Head of Education, Youth and Sports Division of the Sub-Metropolitian Gorkha Bahadur Thapa has said that the decision was taken to close all the schools of Sub-Metropolitan until June 21.
Doctors have requested children to have sufficient water and not to walk in day time.
