Litterateur Pangeni passes away

By Our Correspondent,Lekhanath, Apr. 17: Litterateur Prakat Pangeni Shiva popularly known as ‘Prakat Dai’ in the field of Nepali literature passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

Pangeni passed away during treatment at the Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara.

Pangeni will be cremated at Phulbari Ghat of Seti River along with a funeral procession from Manipal Teaching Hospital at 12:30 on Wednesday afternoon.

68-year-old Pangeni was suffering from pneumonia and other problems.

He was put on a ventilator at Manipal Teaching Hospital on Monday evening.

Pangeni used to live in Batulechaur in Pokhara for a long time, although he hails from Deurali in Rupa Rural Municipality of Kaski, 

Pangeni’s literary works include 

'Juneko Chithi Junalai’, ‘Pranaya Vedaka Richa’ and others. 

Pangeni is survived by wife and a son and a daughter.
