Nepal International Children’s Film Festival to be held

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 17: Nepal International Children’s Film Festival is set to take place from November 20 to 29 in Kathmandu, under the theme ‘Parents and Grandparents Together.’

Actors Dayahang Rai and Pashupati Rai along with child actor Prasan Rai, recently unveiled the festival’s logo, signaling the commencement of this exciting cinematic journey. 

Notably, 8-year-old Prasan Rai, also starring in ‘Gaun Aayeko Bato’ directed by Nabin Subba, adds youthful charm to the festival’s lineup.

This 10-day film festival aims to showcase a diverse array of films meticulously curated for children aged 3 to 18, as well as engaging activities for parents and teachers. 

The event includes a film competition and workshops tailored for aspiring filmmakers under 18, offering a platform for emerging talents to showcase their creativity, claimed the organiser.

Organised by the Alliance for Children Film Nepal (ACF Nepal), the festival aims to spark discussions on the significance of cinema in shaping children’s perspectives and experiences. 

With a blend of national and international films, this festival is poised to inspire, entertain, and educate audiences of all ages, claimed the organiser.
