By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 11: Actor Pradeep Khadka is portraying the character of ‘Mait Bahadur’ in ‘Pujar Sarki’, which is currently being shot in Kaskikot of Kaski district.
Director Dinesh Raut released two photos of Khadka’s character in the film on Sunday, on the occasion of actor Khadka’s birthday.
In the images, Khadka sports long hair, wears a black ‘Topi’ (hat) and is shown playing the main instrument ‘Damaha’ used in Panchebaja.
Raut revealed that ‘Pujar Sarki’ delves into the common struggles of three societal characters against caste discrimination.
The character of ‘Mait Bahadur’, portrayed by Khadka, seems to embody a struggle with identity, indicated by the deliberate omission of a surname.
Written by Bikas Subedi, the film was produced by Subash Bhushal.
Bhushal is a musician, known for composing music for a dozen films, is venturing into film production for the first time.
Along with Khadka, actors Aryan Sigdel and Paul Shah are featured in the male lead roles while actresses Anjana Baraili and Pariksha Limbu are playing female leads in the film.
