Let's Visit Bharatpur could be milestone in tourism promotion: PM Prachanda

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 1: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that the Visit Bharatpur Year (VBY) could be a milestone in promoting tourism of the country and boost the tourism sector.

Inaugurating the VBY, 2024, with slogan 'Let's Visit Bharatpur' ceremony held at the Narayani River beach in Bharatpur, PM Prachanda also expressed his belief that the visit year will contribute significantly to develop Chitwan as a commercial center. 

The Prime Minister mentioned that Chitwan has a history of foreign dignitaries visiting this place for hunting for 150 years. "Besides this, there are many bases that make me confident that Visit Bharatpur Year will achieve its goals."

Referring to the way qualitative changes have taken place in Bharatpur, PM Prachanda said Bharatpur Metropolis has been leading the country with regard to development model for the last seven years.

He said Bharatpur will establish new standard once the ongoing pride projects such as the Ring Road, six-lane road, embankment, City Hall, Gautam Buddha International Stadium, Narayani sea beach are completed.
