Three children killed when truck overturned on house in Morang

 By Sashidhar Parajuli, Biratnagar, Feb 23: Three children were killed when a goods-carrying truck overturned on the house at Nimuwa, Budhiganga Rural Municipality, Morang.

Three people including four-year-old twins died in an incident that took place early Friday morning.

The lorry carrying industrial raw materials with an Indian plate number overturned around 100 meters away from Koshi Highway.

According to the Police, twins of Jyoti Adhikari, from Pragati tol, Budhiganga Rural Municipality, daughter Ishika Adhikari and Son Nishant Adhikari, along with an eight-year-old daughter Rhea Khawas, of Sanju Khawas, lost her life.

The twins died in their sleep while Riha was walking on the road at the time of the accident.  

Mayalu Neupane, a local who witnessed the incident, said that Jyoti Adhikari and Sanju Khawas have sustained injuries amid the incident.

The stones loaded in the lorry fell out killing minors when it overturned. All three died on the spot.

The lorry with Indian number plate (R J 29 GB 1561) got into a fatal accident.

Police said that the bodies were recovered by throwing stones aside with the help of a crane.
