Poor to receive identity card
Chitwan, Feb 10: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Ranjita Shrestha Chaudhari, has said the government was identifying poor people and distributing identity cards to them.
Talking to media persons here today, Minister Chaudhari informed that the poor are categorized with identification and identity cards provided accordingly.
"Present distribution of identity cards to poor will be made more effective," she said, asserting that the government was working actively to alleviate poverty.
She further shared that the land commission was also working to distribute lands to the landless squatters. (RSS)
