By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 10: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachnda’ said that development and trade promotion of the border areas will be organized through diplomatic initiatives in the coming days.

Inaugurating the 24th general assembly of the Nepal Trans Himalayan Border Commerce Association on Saturday, PM Prachanda said that he is aware of the need to prepare the necessary infrastructure for the preservation of business.

Mentioning that after leading the government for the third time, PM Prachanda said that he has paid special attention to the operation of cross-country and commercial borders between Nepal and China and added that there has been ease in movement and economic activities at the borders of the northern region including Tatopani.

PM Prachanda said that sufficient discussions were held on the development of the border areas, the problems of the locals, the role to be played by the government of China, and the support to be provided during his visit to China last October.

“During the China visit, I held a serious discussion about the role to be played in the development of this region by joint efforts that can be played between Nepal and China. There was a discussion about the transfer of certificates of production and living materials for the northern hilly region of Nepal. This carries qualitative implications in the area of cross-border trade promotion.
