Nepal has immense possibility of sports: PM Prachanda

Kathmandu, Jan 12: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said there are many areas with possibilities in Nepal and the sports sector is one amongst them with immense possibilities.

Inaugurating the Fourth National Wado-ryu Open Karate Championship organized by the Nepal Wado-ryu Karate Do association here today, PM Prachanda mentioned that Nepal has much potential in sports. In this connection, he stated that Nepali sportspersons have produced good results in national and international competitions, including the South Asian Karate Championship recently concluded in Nepal, the Fifth South Asian Championship held in Bangladesh and the 19th edition of the Asian Games. 

"Nepal is a country full of copious possibilities. We have abundant possibilities for the country's development and progress. Among them, sport is a sector carrying better potential. The progress Nepal has achieved in the sports sector in the last decade also proves this reality. Therefore, I have attached the utmost importance to the development of the sports sector during my third term in office," the Prime Minister reiterated. (RSS)
