By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 7: The ruling CPN (Maoist Center) has finalized
its candidates for the upcoming National Assembly election.
A meeting of the office bearers of the party held at the official residence
of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', also Maoist Center
Chairperson, concluded the names of the candidates for the NA poll slated for
January 25.
The MC has decided to field Champa Devi Karki from Koshi Province,
Shrikrishna Adhikari from Bagmati Province, Manarupa Sharma from Gangdaki
Province, Jhakku Subedi from Lumbini Province, Bishnu Bishwakarma from Karnali
Province and Renu Chand from Sudur Paschim Province as candidates for the NA
poll, according to Devendra Paudel, secretary of the CPN (Maoist Center).
The MC decided to field six candidates for the NA poll as it got that
many number in share of the NA seats among the ruling partners.
A meeting of the ruling coalition held earlier today had decided to
field candidates from ruling parties as common candidates and allocated the seats
accordingly.
The nomination for the NA poll is slated for Monday. Election for the
vacant seats in the NA is slated for January 25.
