The event aims to bring back the traditional Maghe Sankranti fair, highlighting local products and encouraging domestic tourism with a special focus on the participation of women entrepreneurs. At a press conference held on Thursday, the organisers announced the three-day fair would be held from January 14-16.

Ambika Shrestha, the chairperson of the Women's Enterprise Development Committee under the Myagdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasised the prime focus on exhibiting local products and preserving cultural heritage during the fair.

The primary objective is to enhance tourism through the continuation of the traditional Maghe Sankranti fair in Beni, said Shrestha.

The Women's Enterprise Development Committee informed that the festival will highlight the exhibition of agricultural produce from all local levels of the district, tableau displays representing various castes, diverse sports competitions, mother dance contests and performances by local and national artists.

Bel Bahadur Katuwal, President of the Myagdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed optimism during the press conference, anticipating that the fair organised by women would contribute significantly to the district's tourism promotion.
