Last rites of senior journalist Pokharel performed at Pashupati

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 2: The last rites of a senior journalist and former editor of the Gorkhapatra Corporation, Gokul Prasad Pokharel have been performed today in the Pashupati Aryaghat. His body was put in pyres for a crematorium.
Pokharel, who was born in Kachinde, Dhankuta, in 1993 B.S, died at the age of 87 in the course of treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, on Monday afternoon. He was suffering from lung issues in the recent period. Journalists and well-wishers went to the Pashupati Aryaghat to pay last respects to the deceased Pokharel.
He is survived by his wife, a son, and two daughters.
