PM meets Bipin's parents

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 8: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has met the parents of a Nepali student Bipin Joshi, who is said to have been taken hostage by the Hamas militant group in Palestine.

According to the PM’s private secretariat, the PM met with the parents of Bipin Joshi at the Dhangadhi Airport on Friday.

In the meeting, the parents asked the PM about the efforts that are being made to free Bipin from Hamas and bring him back home safely.  The PM replied that maximum efforts were being made and various diplomatic channels utilized to free Bipin from Hamas.


PM Prachanda reached Kailali this morning for the inauguration programme of the Sudur Paschim Fair. 

49 agricultural undergraduates from Sudur Paschim University in Tikapur of Kailali were selected for the Israel government’s ‘earn and learn’ programme and went there on September 13. Of them, 10 were killed in the Hamas attack on October 7, while, Bipin Joshi of the Bhimdutta Municiapty-3 was said to have been taken hostage and the rest have returned home safely.

All students were working at Kibbutz Alumim near the GAZA border and were killed in two separate attacks by the Hamas fighters on October 7.
