By Gobinda Sharma, Banke, Novv.3: Yog Raj Dhakal ‘Regal’ of Nepalgunj, who was arrested after the verdict of the Supreme Court 9sc), has been prepared to be brought in front of the court today.
Narayan Dangi, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Banke, said that Regal is being presented in front of the District Court, Banke for necessary action.
DSP Dangi said, “ We will present Regal to court at office time today and further course of action will be made based on the verdict of the court.”
The SC issued an order to cancel the government's decision to provide amnesty to Yog Raj Dhakal 'Regal' on Thursday. He was serving life in prison for the murder of Chetan Manandhar of Nepalgunj.
Regal was arrested soon after the verdict of SC
President Ram Chandra Paudel on the occasion of the Constitution Day reduced Regal's prison terms on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
SC gave a verdict of 11 years and 11 months of jail time to the defendant.
