By Pramod Kumar Tandan, Kathmandu, Dec 3: Sudur Paschim Royals registered a glorious victory in its first match defeating Biratnagar Kings by 90 runs in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Tuesday at Kirtipur, Kathmandu.
Batting first, Sudur Paschim scored a total of 182 runs in the stipulated 50 overs with the help of Captain Dipendra Singh Airee's half-century.
In response, Biratnagar Kings scored just 92 runs before being all out in 16.1 overs.
To pack up Biratnagar in just 92 runs Sudur Paschim's bawlers Scott Kuggeleijn and Abinash Bohara picked 3 wickets each, and Brandon McMullen, Saif Zaib and Ishan Pandey took a single wicket each.
Except Basir Ahamad, Rajesh Pulami and Anil Kharel of Biratnagar other batsmen can't score runs in double digits.
Basir Ahamad scored 24 runs whereas Rajesh Pulami hit 15 runs. Anil Kharel scored 10 runs.
In the first inning Sudur Paschim's Dipendra Singh Airee scored 57 runs, Brandon McMullen 36 runs, Binod Bhandari 23 runs, Ishan Pandey 21 runs, Saif Zaib 14 runs and Scott Kuggeleijn scored 10 runs to mount score up to 182 runs.
