Process to form high-level commission in recent 60 kg hold scam forwarded: PM Prachanda

 Kathmandu, Sept 15: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said a process to form a high-level commission to probe in recent 60 kg gold scam at Tribhuvan International Airport has been forwarded.

In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, putting forth his view regarding parliamentarians' ruling, Prime Minister Prachanda shared that a process to form the high-level commission has been forwarded as per the understanding reached among the political parties. 

He mentioned, "Central Investigation Bureau of the Nepal Police has already submitted the report after completing the investigation in the gold scam. A process to form a high-level commission has moved a head as per the understanding."

Saying the government has taken the physical attack on Joint General-Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Mahendra Yadav, seriously, the Prime Minister assured of taking action against those involved in the incident. 

"The government is determined and committed to prevent recurrence of such types of incidents and make arrangement of peace and order', he stressed. 

PM Prachanda further said that if found guilty in the incident of death of a girl in lack of timely treatment at emergency unit of Kanti Children's Hospital, action would be taken, assuring of taking further move to prevent recurrence of such incidents in coming days .  

The 13-year girl, Rejisa Gopali, of Makawanpur, currently living at Bafal of Kathmandu, died in lack of timely treatment at the emergency unit of Kanti Children's Hospital on September 4. 

Prime Minister Prachanda briefed the parliament that the hospital had formed a three-member probe committee to investigate in the incident and the committee has already submitted its report. (RSS)
