Redhorse Ilam wins Taplejung Gold Cup title

Taplejung, Sept 6: Redhorse Football Club Ilam has won the title of Taplejung Gold Cup. In the final match held on Wednesday, Ilam won the gold cup by defeating Jutbikas Football Academy of Sunsari by 1-0.     

Saran Basnet of Ilam scored the only goal of the match in the 31st minute of the game, which took the team to the title. Along with the win, Ilam won the gold cup, medal and certificates, along with a cash prize of including Rs.311,111.     

Likewise, Jutbikas club won Rs. 111,111 in cash, along with the runners-up trophy, medal and certificates.     

Member of the House of Representatives Leeladevi Bokhim and others guests distributed prizes and certificates to the winner and runner-up teams.     

Eight teams including United Kharysang Football Club of Darjeeling participated in the competition held at the playground of Bhanujan Secondary School located at Taplejung headquarters. (RSS)
