Lawmakers draw govt's attention to current issues

Kathmandu, Sept 4: Lawmakers have drawn the attention of the government to current issues in the country.     

In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, lawmaker Janardan Sharma demanded decent compensation for corn crops in western Nepal destroyed by the storm.     

Similarly, lawmaker Gyan Bahadur Shahi called for restoring damaged sections along the Karnali Highway. He also asked the government to provide Rs 1.7 million to cricket players as announced by the Prime Minister. Abdul Khan expressed his concerns about the reportedly missing 35 border pillars in Bardia, asking the government to inquire and resolve the problem.     

He also called for taking effective measures by the government to control increasing corruption. (RSS)
