Kathmandu, Aug 24: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has paid tribute to NC leader late Rajaram Karki.
Karki, NC's former central
committee member and former member of Bagmati Province Assembly, died on
Wednesday evening in course of treatment at Bir Hospital. His body was kept at
NC party office, Sanepa, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am today for paying of last respects
to him.
In a condolence assembly, President
Deuba draped the body of late Karki with a party flag. Vice-President and
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhanraj Gurung,
General-Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwo Prakash Sharna, Foreign
Minister NP Saud, leader Gopalman Shrestha, central committee members, district
presidents, leaders and cadres were present in the condolence assembly.
Karki, the resident of Neelkantha
municipality of Dhading, is survived by his two spouses, four sons and a
daughter. His final rites would be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat today
