Crown of Mr. Nepal goes to Samarpan Karki

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 24: Samarpan Karki, a 32-year-old pilot hailing from Biratnagar, has won the crown of Mr. Nepal 2023, leaving 17 other contestants behind. 

Karki participated in the competition with the goal to inspire young people also grabbed  the ‘Mr. Intellectual’ award. Winning the title, Karki received a cash prize of Rs. 500,000 and got the opportunity of representing Nepal in either ‘Mr. World 2023’ or ‘Mr. Global 2023’. 

Likewise,  Nimesh Kapali from Kathmandu secured the first runner-up position while  Krishal Shrestha of Kavre became the second runner-up. 

Dr. Vijay Duwadi of Chitwan was announced as the third runner-up, and the fourth runner-up position went to Ashim Lamichhane of Bhaktapur.

A panel of judges including actress Aachal Sharma, Malvika Subba, Dr. Ayushman Ghimire, Vishwa Kiran Jain, Lu Lynn, Manisha Dangol Shrestha, Rajbhai Suwal, and Shailaja Adhikary, among others have judged the competition. 

Ravi Dhamala, the CEO of Next Models Nepal, said that contestants from diverse professional backgrounds like pilots, doctors, engineers, and chartered accountants vied for the title of Mr. Nepal. 

 Finalists were provided with a variety of training sessions including swimming, football, rock climbing, social service, short hiking, catwalk, personality development and public speaking.

The competition was open to young aspirants aged between 16 to 32 years with the requirement that contestants must be Nepali citizens with a minimum height of 5 feet 8 inches.
