Kathmandu, June 5: The Nepal-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) Day has been celebrated today.
The NICCI, which was established with the aim of strengthening trade relations between Nepal and Italy, has declared June 5 as the Bilateral Trade meeting and NICCI Day.
The first edition of Newsletter was unveiled and bilateral trade meeting was held on the occasion of NICCI Day. The meeting is expected to play significant role in strengthening trade relations including tourism, industry, import and export between the two countries.
On the occasion, Ambassador of Italy to Nepal, Vincenzo de Luca, laid emphasis on collaboration for strong bilateral relation and long-lasting partnership.
The role of such organisations would be supportive on how to forward tourism, import, export and industrial areas of two countries in a systematic manner, shared the Ambassador.
He viewed, "We are hopeful that the organisation will help in taking the goods produced in Nepal like coffee, handicraft in markets of Italy and in promoting such goods in Italy through Migrant Nepali Society."
Similarly, NICCI President Sanjay Agrawal said the Day has provided an opportunity to think about the journey of Chamber since its establishment till now.
'Our expectation is to strengthen our commitment towards bilateral trade, fostering innovation, taking sustainable development and prosperity ahead and promoting strong partnership", mentioned president Agrawal.
Likewise, Consul General of Nepal to Italy, Pratima Rana Pande, said the role of NICCI was crucial for collaboration between the two countries.
NICCI is an institution established in Nepal in 2014 with the objective of promoting trade and industry between Nepal and Italy.(RSS)
