World Milk Day, 2023 being observed

Kathmandu, June 1 : The 23rd World Milk Day is being observed today across the country by organising various programmes.    

Under the coordination of the National Dairy Development Board, on the occasion, various programmes will be co-organised on the occasion by various organisations including the Department of Livestock Services, the Dairy Development Corporation, the Central Dairy Cooperative Association Limited Nepal, the Nepal Dairy Association, the Dairy Industry Association and the Central Livestock, Fishery Cooperative Association.    

The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations established the World Milk Day in 2001 with the aim of promoting the consumption and benefits of milk around the world. The Day is observed every year on June 1. The theme of the World Milk Day, 2023 is 'Enjoy Dairy'. (RSS)
