Fare in public transport reduces

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 17: The Department of Transport Management under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has reduced the fare in public transport.

After the reduction in the price of diesel and kerosene by Rs 10, the department made public the reduced new fare for public carrying and cargo vehicles. The new fare has been implemented from today.

According to the department, the fare for passengers carrying vehicles by 3.20 percent, cargo vehicles running in Hill areas by 4.19 percent, and cargo vehicles running in Terai areas by 4.65 percent.

 Similarly, the inter-provincial rate will be determined by the federal government, while, the inter-municipal rate will be determined by a provincial government.
