By Chhabi Lal Pande, Butwal, April 27: Nepali Congress Lumbini Province Parliamentary Party Leader Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary has been appointed as the Chief Minister of the Lumbini Province.
As per Article 168 (2) of the constitution Province Chief Amik Sherchan appointed Chaudhary as the Chief Minister of the province.
Earlier today, Chaudhary submitted a claim for the formation of the government in the Lumbini Province before Province Chief Amik Sherchan today.
Chaudhary had submitted the claim to the Province Chief's Office with the support of eight parties and the signatures of the 53 members of PA.
Chaudhary was supported by Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajwadi Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Janamat, Rashtriya Janamorcha and CPN (United Socialist) Party.
