Ruling alliance discuss cabinet expansion

Kathmandu, March 22 : The ruling alliance parties including the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre) and CPN (Unified Socialist) have held discussions regarding the government expansion.     

 During the meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar on Wednesday, the discussion was held on contemporary issues including cabinet expansion, said NC leader Ramesh Lekhak.     

"Some leaders of the ruling alliance held a meeting regarding contemporary political issues. The discussion was held on the issue of expansion of the cabinet today. The meeting focused on giving full shape to the government at the earliest", he added.     

Leader Lekhak clarified that the Prime Minister had not made the decision regarding providing Rs 200,000 to every disqualified combatant of the then Maoist rebel party.     

Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka, Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, and Janata Samajbadi Party Chair Upendra Yadav were present on the occasion. (RSS)
