Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has pointed out the need to refine law relating
to untouchability for implementing them practically and effectively.
He also observed that discrimination and disrespect
reduces with the pace of development.
Prime Minister Prachanda said so while responding to
queries raised during discussion at the National Assembly on the resolution
proposal against oppression and exploitation related to caste-based discrimination,
untouchability and rape.
"Norms and Values of superstition and
ill-practices get eliminated also along with the way development process moves forward
scientifically," said the PM.
We can solve this problem through conscious efforts
by refining legal instruments, and the other way to solve is to uplifting the country
by means of development and prosperity. And let me assure you all that we are doing
our maximum to solve this problem on the part of the government, said the Prime
Minister.
Prime Minister Prachanda also pointed out the need
to refine laws on untouchability to practically implement them.
He viewed that untouchability is also an issue of
cultural movement while assessing that it is difficult to eliminate
untouchability through legal ways alone.
