Nepal qualifed for World Cup Qualifiers by defeating UAE

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 16: Nepal has been selected for the ICC World Cup qualifier defeating the UAE (United Arab Emirates) by nine runs in the game held today at the TU International Cricket Stadium Kirtipur.

Following the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method (DLS) Nepal won over the UAE. 

Batting first UAE posted a huge target of 310 runs in 50 overs.

In response, Nepal's batsmen Kushal Bhurtel, Bhim Sharki, Aarif Sheikh and Gulsan Jha scored half-centuries each.

Bhurtel, Sharki, Sheikh and Jha scored 50, 67, 52 and 50 runs respectively to secure Nepal's win. 

Before applying DLS, Nepal scored 269 runs in 44 overs by losing 6 wickets.
