Dambar Bahadur Sunuwar, Director of the Israel/Japan branch under the department, said that because the procedure of taking Nepali caregivers to Israel takes a lot of time, only after its rectification, a proposal will made with Israel to work on new demands.

He said that the current process is financially hurting the workers, therefore, a review has been proposed to prevent this from happening in new demands.

People who were selected for the demand received on July 27, 2021 are due to go, while, 64 people are left among those who have already been selected to go to Israel.

The Labour Ministry and the Department have been pressuring Israel to sped up the process saying the delay in part of Israel is affecting the labors of Nepal.

Saying that the delay in demands results in difficult in health of workers, Director Sunwar, said," People have to fly within three months of health check up, otherwise, it will expire. The selected workers who have been selected have performed health check up three times and are waiting their turn to go to Israel."

He said that the honesty and earnestly of Nepali people has made Israel wanting Nepali workers in field agriculture and construction.

He said, "We have requested Israeli government to present clear modality about skills and number of people required in field of agriculture and construction in Israel. We will expedite the process once we receive the modality"
