New Working Committee in Economic Media Society

By A Staff Reporter, Lalitpur, Jan. 9: A new working committee has been elected in Economic Media Society Nepal (Emson), an organization of economic media operators. The fifth annual general meeting of the organisation held recently elected a new working committee under the leadership of Ramraja Shrestha.

Somnath Bastola of Bizshala and Lochan Khatiwada of Bizpati have been elected as vice-presidents of the organization, Narayan Poudel of Singhadarbar is elected as general secretary, Him Bista of Taksar magazine as secretary, Bishnu Jamktel (Taruke) of Arthapath as joint-secretary, and Keshav Bhandari of Insurance Khabar as treasurer.

Similarly, Suraj Pyakurel, Milan Khadka, Surendra Paudel and Subadra Thapa were unanimously elected as members.

The organisation has been conducting debates on various economic issues as well as taking initiatives for policy reforms, it said in a statement on Monday. At present, 27 economic media of various genres are affiliated to Emson.
