Need to work as per expectations of people: Chairperson Oli

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 9: Chairperson and parliamentary leader of the CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, has said that people have expectations and aspirations of change, therefore, the new government and HoR need to move forward bearing in mind about wishes of denizens. 

Addressing the first meeting today of the House of Representatives (HoR) after its election on November 20, 2022, Chairperson Oli said that the newly formed HoR has been entrusted with a big responsibility of moving forward the development of the country, fulfilling the needs of people, and mandating social justice and equality. 

"We have responsibilities about patriotism. We are keen to raise issues about diversity, but, we should preserve our advanced socio-cultural aspect established by our forefathers," he said. 'Society will lose its existence if we forget the values of society."

Mentioning the deficit country's revenue, former Prime Minister Oli said that items of export have decreased significantly while many factories and industries of the country are closed. In the situation of surging inflation and degrading lifestyle of people, the responsibility lies in the government and HoR to lead the country forward.
