Khagaraj Adhikari appointed Gandaki Province CM
By TRN Online, Pokhara, Jan 9: CPN (UML)'s Parliamentary Party leader of Gandaki Province Khagaraj Adhikari has been appointed the Chief Minister (CM) of the province.
Gandaki Province Chief Prithvi Man Gurung appointed Adhikari as the CM of the Gandaki Province as per Article 168 (2) of the constitution on Monday.
Out of 60 provincial members in the Gandaki province, 33 members have supported Adhikari for the CM of the province. Those who supported him are 22 provincial lawmakers from UML, 8 from CPN (Maoist Center) 2 from Rashtriya Prajatantra Party, and an independent lawmaker, Deepak Manange.
