Test flight conducted at Resunga Airport

Kathmandu, Jan 8: A test flight has been conducted at Resunga Airport in Gulmi district today. Tara Air carried out a successful test flight in collaboration with the Resunga municipality.     

A Tara Air Twin otter-400 plane with the call sign 9N ALO took off from Tribhuvan International Airport for Resunga at 11.14 am and landed at Resunga Airport, Simichaur, Resunga Municipality-10 at 12 o'clock.     

Before this also Tara Air had conducted a test flight to Resunga Airport on June 8, 2018.     

Tara Air's spokesman Sudarshan Bartaula said senior pilots Captain Santosh Kumar Saha and Captain Sanjib Shrestha conducted the test flight today.     

Lawmaker elected from Gulmi district, Chandra Bhandari of the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) deputy general secretary Pradip Kumar Gyawali, Province Assembly member Dhanendra Bahadur Karki, CPN (Unified Socialist) secretary Ram Kumari Jhankri, Resunga Municipality mayor Khila Dhwaj Panthi and officials of Tara Air and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal were on board the plane.     

Bartaula said that with the successful test flight, the process for carrying out regular flights would now be started. According to him, it will at least take 2-3 weeks for conducting regular flights to Resunga. Initially, Tara Air is operating flights in coordination with Resunga Municipality. (RSS)
