Kathmandu, Jan 4: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, paid a courtesy
call on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and
Transport, Narayan Kaji Shrestha at the latter’s office in Singha Durbar today.

Srivastava extended best wishes from the government and people of India to DPM
Shrestha for a successful tenure.
On his
part, DPM Shrestha expressed his confidence that India will extend cooperation to
Nepal in its efforts to achieve prosperity with social justice.

Srivastava also expressed India’s willingness to provide additional assistance to
Nepal for infrastructure development including railways.
Bijay
Gautam, personal secretary of DPM Shrestha, shared that the discussion also
featured on issues to expedite development projects under construction with
Indian assistance.
During
the courtesy call, the undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry, Shubhanga Parajuli
was also present.
