Bhedetar Food Festival concludes

By Our Correspondent,Bhedetar, Jan. 4: The 10th Bhedetar Food Festival organised targeting  the New Year concluded on Monday, luring more than 10,000 tourists.The festival is organised every year with the aim of attracting domestic and foreign tourists in the off-season.

According to the event organiser, Hotel Association of Bhedetar, the festival has a financial turnover of Rs. 5 million this year. 

Shanti Maden Shrestha, executive chairman of Hotel Association, informed that ethnic foods, home industry materials, fruits, beverages and meat were showcased in the festival, which ran for three days from December 31.

According to the organiser, more than 10,000 tourists, including domestic and foreign tourists, visited the festival. The organisers informed that more than 5,000 Indian tourists also observed the festival. 

 The main attraction of the festival were the cuisines of different ethnicities, home industries, costumes reflecting the ethnic culture as well as jhakis.

Jitendra Rumdali Rai, chairman of Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality, said that the tourists who came to the festival visited Namje, Thumki, Atma Basne Ghar, Sangurigadhi, Pathibhara Temple, Buddhist Bihar Gumba and other tourist spots.
