kathmandu, Jan 3: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and National Assembly (NA) Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina held a meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar this evening.
The PM’s secretariat said that matter of election of the NA vice-chairperson and one NA member was discussed.
The post of NA vice-chairperson is lying vacant for the past 10 months and one post of the NA member from Lumbini Province is vacant after the UML’s Khimlal Bhattarai resigned.
During the meeting, the NA Chair urged the PM to resend five bills in the NA, which have remained passive in the House of Representatives after being passed from the NA.
Those five bills that were generated in the NA were passed after intensive discussions have remained passive after the tenure of the HoR ended.
The Nepal Media Council Bill, Policy Research Bill, Nepal Special Service Bill, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Bill and Nepal Aviation Service Authority Bill are left passive in the HoR.
Likewise, Chairperson Timilsina urged the PM to ensure needed budget for the infrastructure development for the construction of Customs Office in Korola of Mustang district. (RSS)
