Body of the deceased family members brought back to Nepal

By Abinash Chaudhary, Dhangadhi, Jan 3: Three members of a family from Gauriganga Municipality-1, Kailali, working as a laborer in India, were found dead in their own room in Mehrat of Uttar Pradesh of India on January 1.

Diyakoti Bohara, Ward chair of the Gauriganga Municipality-1, Kailali, said that Chhane Bhul, his wife, Kumari Bhul, and their five-year-old Anjali Bhul, were found deceased in their room. The bodies were brought back to Nepal on Tuesday.

Bohara remarked the incident was suspicious even though it is said that suffocation due to burning coal used in railways all night in the room might have led to the death of the family members.

According to him, some wounds were visible on his hands and body of Channe and his mouth seemed crooked as well.

He said, "Looking at the pictures sent by the Indian Police and wounds all over Channe's body, it looks like the family was murdered"

The Bhul family was working in India for the last six/ seven years due to poverty. One son and two daughters of Chhane and Kumari were living with their grandparents back home in Nepal. These three children outliving their parents and youngest sister now are left in a poor state. The deceased family members received a funeral on Tuesday.

Bed Prakash Joshi, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), also, the Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kailai, said that the family should have inquired their suspicions of murder to the Indian Police back in India.

As the incident occurred in India, an investigation will be performed by Indian Police. If the family finds the incident suspicious, it would have been better to raise their suspicion and request further inquiry to Indian Police, but the family returned with the body without raising any suspicions to police."
