Mohan Rai translates The Director’s Journey in Nepali language

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 31: “The Director’s Journey: The Creative Collaboration Between Directors, Writers, and Actors” written by American actor and director Mark W. Travis has been translated into Nepali by Mohan Rai.

The translated book “Nirdeshakako Yatra” was unveiled amid a programme in the capital on Friday. Speaking at the programme, book translator Mohan Rai said that he had read the book many years ago and he liked the book very much.

He said that he translated the book into Nepali  language thinking that the book would be beneficial for Nepali film enthusiasts  and filmmakers to expand their knowledge in the field of film.Travis, the author of the book, also expressed his happiness and congratulations on the release of his book in Nepali language through a video message.

Speaking at the event, filmmaker Nabin Subba said that the book is divided into 12 chapters and it will help a lot in understanding about film direction. He also claimed that if someone follows the book and directs a movie, the movie will be excellent.

Professor  Abhi Subedi  said that the book would help in understanding the technical aspects of cinemas. He emphasised that there should be interaction between theatre artistes and film artistes from time to time to strengthen the quality of acting.
